Reaching for the Stars

One of my favorite kinds of trees.... Though I can't remember what kind it is at the moment... XD But I did a Biology project on it last year, so I'll search through my papers. Either way, this tree is in my backyard, out in the woods a little, there's this huge rock right in front of it, and I remember I'd go out and sit up on it when I was younger and call it my 'Thinking Rock'. =]

This tree is also cool for the initials that have been carved into it... it's quite interesting

But regardless, in this photo I just wanted an upward shot, and it had been raining, so the tree is wet. Kind of looks like it's reaching up for something....
