It looks so beautiful!
So! A couple of things:
2. I really love this photo.
It all went down a couple of weeks ago - I geared towards a late night photoshoot on campus, after this one Friday I stayed at school until like 7:30pm. (That was for the exhibit, the prep beforehand) But on this particular Friday (day this photo was born) I initially had the intention to take photos of the itty bitty city we can see from the very back of Quinn (back of the campus).
The reason I thought of that was because back in Fall semester last year I had stayed late one day (I think either earlier or around this same time I did it here) from a Bio lab (we didn't have lab that week) so that I could take pictures with my tripod for some long exposure (I feel like there's another name for that I just can't remember it right now) of the highway from inside the Quinn building/near the catwalk. That actually did work out all right, I was a bit too far though so it wasn't super obvious but I even got it to work at the train station so that was cool!
Anywho, back to this day: So yeah, my intention was to do city lights shots but by the time I got over there... I found this fence and I was all "Oh my god, a fence!" But I wasn't sure whether or not I'd get in trouble for being there (I didn't, or at least no one said anything* I can add to this more later, probably in a journal) but it was a'okay! Hence, I spent more time doing hands, pocketwatch, the amazingness of BOKEH and fence stuff instead of my original intention. It was so much better anyways
I was sooooo, sooooo happy from this photoshoot, like I swear just the happiest I could ever be from a photoshoot. It was SO amazing. I still have more ideas to reshoot, and maybe I will get that chance soon, or maybe it will have to be backlogged for the future. I know that I want to get at least one more try out of night shooting - but for that I need to work on a good plan this weekend. Not that you asked about that But I did do one AWESOME and exhausting shoot last night.... sooo amazing. =]
But, to stay on topic:
Fence, hand, pocketwatch and bokeh. What more can you ask for? I had my tripod with me, got the timer on and picked such a good day for it - the sunset was beautiful and the weather was abnormally warmer, but it was still pretty cold!
As for putting it into 'conceptual' I got some very nice and fancy feedback from one of our last meetings, and the ideas of 'time passing by' or 'moving quickly' were brought up. And you know my good old pocketwatch, always frozen on the same time despite the always changing scenarios. =] I actually figured out more of a reason as to why I may be attracted to that (not that that's a surprise! xD) Also, I love that just about everyone knows it's me when they see the pocketwatch
