What We Hold....Is Fleeting

Not only did I recall something fantastic to upload, but I also haven't yet uploaded it! (Which is utterly insane.)

Firstly:

Now, to get right in the midst of things... I freakin' love this photo. As I was searching through folders and photographs, I realized why batches of them looked so familiar - before I left on my trip a month ago, I had to clear out a good portion of my SD card, which means I rediscovered some seriously golden photos/shoots that I had otherwise completely forgotten about ^^

Anywho, again, I just really like this picture. I took it on the train on my way to school and this particular shot just came out so well, I had a shot right before it and right after that just makes this one shot stand out in contrast (since the other two were decent but not quite there). I'm so glad it came out as amazingly as it did. And this shot ALSO led me to much further inspiration and reshooting over the months thereafter.

Also, this theme? Made me obsessed with reflections. Which is the entirety of what this picture is. It's taken in the window of the train, with the reflection of the train's inside quarters in focus and the passing trees blending out insanely so. I'm also fairly sure my reflection is thrown into the mix too... the motion, I tell you, the motion! GAH!

And lastly, this is practically a poster child to an olllld art idea I have, which I'll probably try to merge somehow (or at least mention it). The art idea is a poem where the essential premise (of which I'm altering now slightly) is of a boy who gets on a train and while he stands upon the metallic floor, his life experiences are sweeping by in the windows of the train, until he makes it to the final stop and observes his surroundings there (and he maybe just so happens to be a far older gentleman by that point). But yeah. Mmmm, art concoctions. =]
